About Us
The IPTO Innovation Hub is the structure for networking and developing synergies with the Innovation and Startup Ecosystem, aiming for a more accessible, sustainable, and reliable energy transmission system to improve the lives of its people and society.
The Innovation Pillars
We have identified four key pillars on which we focus to continue creating value for society and evolving our activities. The Innovation Hub designs a set of programs that specialize our activity on specific challenges related to these Pillars.

Infrastructure & Asset Management
We are seeking new technologies to improve the management and maintenance of System assets, while simultaneously enhancing the resilience of the Transmission System and aiming at the training and dissemination of new technologies.
System Operation
We seek cooperation among System Operators to strengthen the market and address network congestion, while also promoting the evolution towards a hybrid AC/DC Transmission System.
Digital Transformation & Communications
As we navigate the digital age revolution, issues such as cybersecurity, interoperability, and the management and analysis of large volumes of data come to the forefront, enhancing the safety and efficiency of the electricity Transmission Network.
Market Management & Flexibility
We aim to integrate the emerging flexibility ecosystem and implement and test new market models in the energy sector for the resilience and efficiency of the Electricity System (ES), encouraging the participation of prosumers and consumers, with the ultimate goal of achieving a pan-European energy market.
